Returns, Refunds & Warranty
Because number plates are custom-made products, different rules apply compared to standard retail goods. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.
Custom-Made Number Plates (Non-Refundable)
All number plates supplied by MUZZPLATES are manufactured to the exact details entered at checkout. For this reason, we cannot offer refunds or returns where the issue is caused by customer-selected or customer-entered information, including incorrect registration numbers, spacing errors, incorrect plate sizes, styles, finishes, or options selected, or a change of mind after an order is placed. We are also unable to cancel or refund orders that have entered production or have been dispatched.
This is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, which exclude personalised and bespoke goods from standard cancellation rights.
When Refunds or Replacements Are Available
A free replacement or a full refund will be offered where we have made an error during manufacture, where the product is faulty or defective, where the product arrives damaged, or where we are unable to fulfil the order due to an issue on our side. In these cases, the issue will be resolved at no cost to the customer.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please take clear photographs of the issue and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Include your order number and a brief description of the problem. Once reviewed, we will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.
Courier Delays
Courier delays are outside our control and do not qualify for a refund. However, we will assist with tracking and resolving delivery issues wherever possible.
Documentation for Road-Legal Plates
For road-legal number plates, valid DVLA documentation is required by law. Plates cannot be manufactured until correct documents are supplied. If documentation is not provided after ordering, the order may be cancelled. In such cases, a refund may be issued minus an administration and processing fee.
Warranty
All MUZZPLATES products include a two-year manufacturer warranty covering fading, peeling, delamination, material defects, and reflective failure for BS AU 145e compliant plates.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper fitting, road debris, impacts or accidents, misuse of show plates, or damage caused by incorrect cleaning products or chemicals.
Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please provide your order number, clear photographs of the issue, and a brief description of the problem. Our team will review the claim and arrange a replacement where appropriate.
Returns Procedure (Where Applicable)
If a return or replacement is approved, please contact us within 48 hours and provide clear evidence of the fault. We will confirm whether the item needs to be returned. Replacements are issued once the fault is verified.
